Aromatherapy Body Oil Blends
Essential Oils sink beautifully into warm, damp skin. So apply these
Body Oils after stepping out of a bath or shower to help nourish the skin
and rehydrate it. Commercial creams stay on the first layer of skin. Pure
Essential Oils seep through to the 2nd layer of skin and carry out their
healing properties in deep tissue. This coupled with their cell rejuvenating
capacity make them best friends of skin. Try out any of the following
recipes and tell me if they don't work!!
Warnings: Maximum of 30-40 drops pure Essential Oil
for 50ml Carrier Oil. Test a drop of the blend behind ear for irritating
sensation. Irritation means that dilution must be increased or that your
skin may be too sensitive.
If
you find that these recipes do not bring about visible results or give
very negligible results, then possibly you have bought "fragrant
oils", "botanical fragrances" which are not pure. These
have Zero or negligible therapeutic properties.
Pure Essential Oils are the raw essence of the plant and smell stronger
than fragrant or diluted oils. Don't be fooled by better smelling, cheaper
perfumed oils, unless perfume is all you want.
All oils on sale on this site are 100% pure Essential Oils and their healing
properties are guaranteed.
BODY OILS : Take 10-15 minutes to give yourself a gentle
massage as you rub the oils into your skin. Visible difference within
7 days time.
Start from the feet and work upward. Don't neglect the back and shoulders,
they carry a lot of strain. Vary the blends you use from time to time.
Almost all Essential oils are cell rejuvenators and will give you a smoother
skin in a few days.
1 Nourishing and Heavenly Smelling
50ml base: 10 drops Geranium
+ 12 Sandalwood + 8 Neroli
This blend will leave you with a luxurious and smooth feel and a heady
perfume as these oils carry base notes of perfume. Check if the smell
is too strong. If it is, use Bergamot
instead of Neroli, it will go easy on your precious Neroli too. Quells
anxiety, builds confidence. Good for winter use when nothing you put on
the skin reduces the chapped feeling after 4 hours.
2. Fresh Citrus Blend
50 ml base: 14 drops Bergamot +6 Lemon
+ 10 Lavender
Light Citrus perfume. Fresh.
3. Flabby Skin
50 ml base: 15 drops Fennel
+ 5 Cypress + 5 Nutmeg + 5 Geranium
4. Stretch Marks Blend
Stretch Marks are tiny scratches in the tissues. Just like they
took a long time to form, they will take a long time to reduce. Visible
results will definitely be seen in 3 weeks with the following blends but
you must use them at lease once a day.. For this, the quality of the carrier
oil also made a difference, so I am including 2 good mixes for the base.
Else, use any other carrier oil
Be sure of the purity of the essential oil and Carrier oil you are using,
else thats a lot of effort and expense gone waste.
The benefit of Aloe Vera as carrier or as part of the carrier in this
blend is incomparable.
50 ml Base oil mix
1 . Sesame seed oil or any
other carrier + 30% Wheat germ
Oil (Vitamin E) + 30% Aloe Vera gave best result
2. At least 50% Aloe Vera +
any Carrier also gave good result. Use quickly as the water in the gel
makes it go rancid quickly.
3 . Any carrier oil but Sesame Seed is preferred
Addition of some Evening Primrose
Oil also helps
Stretch Marks Blend:
50ml Base oil (see above) : 20 drops Frankincense
+ 5 Lavender + 5 Neroli
15 drops Spikenard + 10 Patchouli
+ 5 Neroli
20 drops Spikenard + 10 drops Rosewood
1 drop Rose Absolute + 5 Neroli
or Lavender. Safe during Pregnancy.
I drop Rose Absolute will have potency of at least 20 drops. In general,
dilute 1 drop of Rose absolute in 20 drops of Carrier and use this blend
in same proportion as any essential oil. Test this blend in the crook
of your elbow and dilute further if any tingling is noticed.
If you can spare the expense, use oil of Neroli, otherwise use Lavender
in its place.
Cellulite
50ml base oil: 15 drops Fennel+
10 Nutmeg + 5 Geranium
50 ml base + 15 Juniper+10 Rosemary
+ 5 Cypress
50ml base oil: 15 Pine+10 Cypress
+ 5 Parsley
Flabby Skin/ Slimming Oil
To tighten skin when you are going through slimming treatments
50ml base oil : 15 Cypress + 15 Juniper + 5 Pine.
Jojoba carrier oil or atleast 50% Jojoba
should be used. Use this blend on only thighs (and arms)
Oh and remember, nothing but exercise will get rid of that pot belly..
coz the stomach is muscle... If you need tummy trimmer exercises, drop

If you have never used essential oils, and are prone to allergies, we
suggest that you perform a skin patch test before using any of them.
